Elaina is an NPC character, and has no affect on community affairs outside of the story.

Overview[]

Elaina is a former Arch-Goddess and former wife of Lucius.

She was one of the first mortal inhabitants of Achaea, and was the daughter of two farmers. Lucius was enamored with her beauty and personality, that he bestowed upon her god-hood. With Lucius, she became the mother of two children, Lilith and Alearia.

Elaina was a benevolent mother figure to her children and to the world's people, and would frequently helped mortals resolve any of their dilemmas.

She violently disagreed with Lucius' actions regarding her youngest daughter, and attempted to physically intervene. This caused her to be imprisoned within the Void by Lucius, to prevent any future interaction with the world.

She was freed later by the Heroes, and died consequently during the first story arc, The Heaven's Dilemma.

Lucius & Bal Guran[]

Although absent for most of her children's lives, and widely unknown by the Heroes, Elaina served to be a crucial aid during the resolution of The Heaven's Dilemma. Elaina was freed from her void prison through repeated attempts of contact via shrine, and her temple, Fal Degrada. She explained the conflict and Calamity to the Heroes in more detail, shedding light on an otherwise hopeless situation. She was plagued by dreams of the abandoned Sanctum, the holy grounds of the Divinity. She encouraged the Heroes to set out alongside the Gods to confront Lucius in his own home.

During the battle against Lucius & Bal Guran, Elaina forcibly revived any fallen Heroes as a way to ensure victory, as Lucius was frequently taking away any blessings bestowed upon them.

When Lucius was finally killed, Elaina had turned to ash alongside her two daughters. She did not return, despite the pact with the Void Leviathan.

Postmortem Impact[]

Elaina's temple, Fal Degrada, remains an active component in Achaean society. Her temple's respective altars allow for the manipulation of the time of day, and the weather. Elaina herself is commemorated for her involvement in stopping Lucius, and remains a role-model for future heroes.
